    This course covers strategies and methods for professional and human resource development in organizations by considering processes that will ensure the skills, knowledge, abilities, and performance of employees meet the current and future needs of the organization and individual employee. Topics include the evolution of training and development needs assessment, testing for developmental purposes, the learning process, selecting proper training methods, and evaluating training and development.

    The study and application of business research to solving business problems. Emphasis includes approaches to designing the research project, sources of collecting data, and the analysis and presentation of data results. Students are exposed to the practical application of using research as a method of resolving business issues and problems.

    A systematic study of the methods, problems, and skills necessary for launching and operating a small business.

  • BUS 4080 I1 Leadership & Christian Worldview (SP09)
    Students will examine patterns of successful leadership in various types of organizations. To promote principled leadership the student will consider theological and philosophical fundamentals that present a sound philosophical base for ethical understanding and behavior. Special attention will be given to ethical issues facing decision makers. This course will satisfy the TST4095 General Education requirement in the Organizational Management program.
  • PAD4500I1 Law, Crime, and Public Policy (Sp09)
    This PAD 4500 course focuses on the criminal justice policy and the factors that influence policy development and implementation. Topics include the justification, causal logic and evidence for specific crime policies; as well as factors influencing policymaking. Students will learn about the development of criminal justice programs and policies. This course is offered as part of an Organizational Management Minor.
