• BST2010I1 Understanding the Old Testament (SU09)

    A study that reviews the unfolding divine revelation of the Old Testament. Emphasis is placed on explaining the message as it is related to the culture and historical situation in which it originated and also its relevance today. The student must successfully complete this course or BST 2020 before enrolling in any Bible elective. A research paper on a portion of the Bible (exegesis) is required.

  • MAT2000I1 Statistics (SU09)

    This course is designed to teach the basic skills in descriptive and inferential statistics. Experience in collecting, organizing, and summarizing data as well as drawing conclusions using the data is given emphasis.

  • PSY2000I1 Intro. to Psychology (SU09)

    This course will survey the various fields of psychology giving attention to the theories, methods, and issues that characterize psychology as the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Assignments allow learners to acquire course content through independent reading of the texts. Each student is required weekly to answer specific chapter objectives and reply to the answers of others. Electronic interactions with the instructor and classmates allow students to achieve a broader understanding.

  • SCI1020I2 Earth Science (SU09)

    An introduction to the basic principles of physical and historical geology, meteorology, oceanography, astronomy, and the United States Space Program. This course will be supplemented by current and historical scientific literature published through popular periodicals that are written for the general public.

  • SOC2000I1 Intro to Sociology (SU09)

    This course of study will introduce students to the sociologist’s perspective in order to enhance their current and future learning about attitudes, values and perspectives of American Society as a whole as well as their own value & belief systems.  Christian values and principles will be presented in class within the sociologist perspective as well.
